Jacki Rosen's work is exemplified by BOLD strokes, STRONG color combinations, and INTENSE gestural mark making. I make quick instinctual decisions, take risks and am spontaneous while being mindful of my aesthetic. I’m a creative mathematician that adds, subtracts and multiplies her mediums.
There is a definite synergy between the process and the painter. My work is RAW, MULTILAYERED and AUTHENTIC resulting in many of the traits that reflect my personality.
It is my wish that my pieces transport the viewer to a place of contemplation and appreciation of my fine art philosophy, thought process and discovery through self-expression.
As a museum director and curator of seventeen years and a high-end designer boutique owner for seven, I’ve been surrounded by art and artists in all mediums, genres and forms. I’ve loved art forever but never put a thought into trying it from the other side of the aisle. Two years ago I picked up my first paintbrush and that’s when my adventure began. I immediately sold my successful business and opened a small art studio in Fort Lauderdale in the span of a few weeks and I’ve never looked back. I now create because I have to. The need is greater than myself. And my focus has never been stronger.
